Entangled Vows: A Web of Deceit and Desire

I just finished taking a hot shower, steam coming off my body as I grabbed a white bathrobe hanging beside the wall and wore it while I grabbed another towel to wrap my wet hair in it. My hand gently wiped the cloudy mirror just above the bathroom's sink then I examined myself slowly while brushing my teeth.

'Let me see, I can already see a new small line forming under my left eye.'

Once I was done brushing my teeth, I grabbed one of my eye cream sachets from the set of toiletries beside me and applied it to the worrying wrinkles. I should take good care of my face because this is only one of the few reasons why people still praise me.

I sighed deeply just by thinking about my age, "Kaia Luminaire, you're already 26 years old." I reminded myself once again. "Just like what they always say, four years from now and I'll be on the borderline of being called an 'Old Maid'."

I smiled blandly at the face that stares at me intently. This is the type of face that most people praise, but it's also the point of comparison for my attitude. You know the saying that since I have a beautiful appearance that must also mean that my attitude is also beautiful.

However that's not the case for me, people see me as an ugly beast who just happens to have an angelic face. My appearance is radiant, but my personality is terrifying, just like of a beast. They said no one will stay by my side because of my horrible personality. They said I have an unbearable attitude problem. I always receive unfair prejudices.

Those malicious whispers that I keep hearing about, why don't they just say it directly to my face? It's not even whispers anymore instead they like to say behind my back. No worries though since their words won't hurt me, I'm already immune to it anyway. One thing's for sure.... I know who I am.

After staring at myself in the mirror, I went out of the bathroom and walked directly to my walk-in closet. The closet is filled with luxurious fashion items. Shopping for clothes is one of my stress relievers, as well as collecting bags, shoes, and accessories. The accessories that I love the most to collect are eyeglasses.

However, despite my passion for collecting luxury brands, even I would shook my head in disappointment at my own taste of fashion. All the clothes I've collected in this closet have the same style and color. I looked at the hanger rack where all my formal coats are hung, they're all in black. Next to it are pencil skirts, mostly dark-colored ones as well. There are also other things that I have in this closet, plain long-sleeved shirts, white polo shirts, black slacks, body-fit cotton shirts, and denim pants. I want to fill my closet with various styles and colors too, but whenever I go shopping, I always end up buying the same clothes which I'm comfortable in wearing.

Then I looked at my shoe rack. Most of the shoes have the same style too - black closed heels and at least two pair of black running shoes. Oh, and the bags? Despite buying different brands, they all have the same design. It's a type of handbag where you can fit a whole folder inside.

After carefully choosing what i want to choose for the day, although they're just the same, I finally went out of my closet holding a white long-sleeved shirt, a black formal coat, a black shirt, and a pair of black high heels. I laid down the clothes while carefully making sure they would not wrinkle. After blow-drying my hair, I got dressed and wore my heels. I spun in front of the mirror, and upon seeing my appearance, I was finally contented and sat down in front of my dresser.

I tightly tied my long hair into a ponytail then I applied a thin foundation to my face. I put on a mascara and a liquid eyeliner. I usually put heavy makeup on my eyes, I want them to look bold and fierce so that no one would say the lines I hate the most, "she has an angel-like face but a has a demon-like personality."

Since I couldn't change my personality, I might as well change my face instead. After I finsihed applying make up with my eyes, I applied a nude lipstick and a little amount of blush on in my cheeks. I put on my eyeglasses, and stood up grabbing my handbag.

I double checked what was inside of my bag, making sure I didn't forget anything. Smartphone, charger, keys, wallet, perfume, sanitizer, and makeup when I need to retouch. I looked at myself one last time in the mirror before grabbing my suitcase and finally leaving and locking my room. I then carefully walked to go down the stairs.

"Oh God! Ohh God! Harder Vaughn!"

"Hmmm! You want it hard?""

"Y-yes! F-faster!"

"Say please..."

"Ah! Ah! Ah! P-please!!!"

"I'm cumming!"

"Aaaah!"

My ears twitched as soon as I passed by one of the rooms just next to mine. I listened to those steamy moans for a while, I then smirked while shaking my head. I continued to walk down the stairs finally reaching the kitchen and grabbed the tabloid that was placed on the isle table.

I checked for urgent news for the day and after that I went to open one of the cupboards as I prepared all the necessary ingredients in making a simple sandwich. After I'm done, I placed it on a saucer and poured a cup of coffee from the coffee maker.

I sat down on the dining table and silently ate my breakfast while scrolling through the tabloid and reading articles. This is my everyday routine in the morning.

I looked at the time, it's already 6:56. I waited for a few moment and smirked when I heard a girly voice.

'Right on time.'

"Bye! Don't forget to call me! Muah!"

I look at the woman who's currently walking down the stairs, 'another different woman, I'm sure he won't call her again.'

The woman walked straight until she went out of the house without noticing that there was another person looking at her. As she disappeared from my sight, I went back to reading while sipping my cup of coffee.
